I’m diving in. I FINALLY came to the realization that I was craving more in my career/personal life, and I decided to make a website/blog last week. Within days, the idea turned into an action, and here I am less then a week later, writing my very first blog post! Nice to meet you, I’m Lindsay Klein, and the gorgeous lady I’m hugging is my soul mate, my best friend, my mother. The photo below was taken on my wedding day this past October (I’m still in newlywed mode, so you are warned now that I have a large amount of wedding photos)…..
2014 was a benchmark year for me. I’m on a mission to create another stellar year for 2015. How about you? Personally, I am always trying to shoot for goals of many sizes to better my life, and others around me. New years resolutions are a wonderful idea, because they give people the feeling of a fresh start. Having landmark dates can ground us, organize us, and inspire us, to create change.
Today my best friend informed me that her new years goals were not only resolutions, but that she was starting a revolution. How awesome is that!
I’ve always been a dreamer, but I don’t just dream, I make things happen. Life can get stagnant and change can be scary, but what scares us the most, is usually what we need to work on. Especially in the winter months we may find ourselves covered in sweat pants and sweat shirts, not only covering our bodies, but our minds too. Instead of falling into a slump and letting the winter weight weigh heavy on your soul, use it as fuel to build upon. Reach higher, fight harder, dream bigger.
Things don’t happen overnight. Take this blog for example. It took at least a week to take my idea to a computer wizard, to build it, decorate it, teach me how to use it, and then I had to sit down and make it happen. That’s just a simple example, but it’s one in which an idea was put into action, quickly.
Turn your ideas into building blocks that grow from your past, shape your present, and enlighten your future. Dream, and build.
This realization turned into a very long journey to learn the business, pay my dues, intern, graduate college, land a part time job, and eventually a full time position. The struggle was there and always is, but I’ll save the DJ path for another post!
I like to think that my career in yoga found me. I had just closed a door on a job that was mentally and physically draining my soul, and in turn opened up a door to the most challenging and rewarding world I have ever known. In fact, Martin Luther King day, less then a week away, will be my one year anniversary teaching yoga. I intend to spend my entire life practicing it, and being a student.
I can’t wait to build upon my dreams, this blog, and continue my goals of being inspired to inspire. My careers in radio, DJ’ing, and yoga, along with my personal life quests are experiences I intend to share with photographs, videos, recipes, while always spreading love. Please drop me a line and/or visit my other social networking sites!! I’m just a computer away with open ears, and an equally open heart.
