I’ve always believed that each and every person has a power season. What is a power season, you may ask? It’s a time of year, a season, that an individual is at their best. For me, that power season is fall, and I fall in love with it all over again, every single year.
I mean the season itself is so powerful, what’s not to love, right? Pumpkin galore, hoodies, cold nights, chills in the air, and the delicious smells and tastes of the season. It’s enough to make anyone feel at their best!
It’s no wonder I decided to get married in the fall, with the leaves turning over, and the air so romantically crisp, fall has always been my favorite time of the year. From bundling up with a hoodie, to getting cozy inside with my family, I pretty much count down the days from summer to fall every year. Similarly, I count the days to my first Pumpkin Spice Caffè Latte. As soon as I take that first sip, I’m immediately warmed from my heart to my soul, with all that is fall. I wait until the perfect moment, drink in the magic, and then I truly know that fall has arrived.
The smells of fall outside ignite my soul, as well as the ones inside from the delicious baked goods. I am even more excited for fall this year because I get to introduce my toddler, and baby to be, to the incredible season of Pumpkin everything! I’m ecstatic to bring treats to my toddler’s taste buds, as well as my baby to be, with delicious foods that match the season. I will be cooking and baking up a storm, and Starbucks® has the perfect flavors to enjoy the season, in the warmth of our own home!
I cannot even start my day without taking a sip of coffee, but every year, I look forward to the limited-time-only fall flavors! I savor every single sip and every little bite! It’s pure magic to my taste buds, and my whole family as well!

Here’s a recipe for Pumpkin Pancakes I like to enjoy with my Starbucks® Pumpkin Spice Caffè Latte.
Pumpkin Pancakes recipe

2 Cups of flour
1/4 Cup of Sugar
1/4 Cup of Brown Sugar
1 tsp. Baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. kosher salt
1/4 tsp. all spice
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup plain yogurt
3/4 milk (your choice)
1 Cup of Pumpkin Puree
In a large bowl whisk the flour, spices and baking powder.
In a different bowl, beat the eggs with a beater until foamy – around 3 minutes. Add the yogurt, milk, pumpkin, vanilla, sugar, and brown sugar. Beat to mix well.
Pour the egg mix into the flour mix and gently fold to combine.
Melt some butter in a skillet over medium heat, then pour in 1/4 cup batter for each pancake
over a medium heat. Let each side cook for about 3 minutes.
Serve with maple syrup, butter, whipped cream, anything your heart desires, but don’t forget to pair it with your Pumpkin Spice Caffè Latte!
If you’re more of a dessert person, we LOVE pumpkin bars with cream cheese icing in our family. Here’s an amazing recipe that will make your mouth water just thinking about!
Pumpkin Bars with Cream Cheese Icing
- 4 Large Eggs
- 1 2/3 cups of sugar
- 1 Cup of Oil (of your choice)
- 1 can (15 oz) of pumpkin
- 2 Cups of All-Purpose Flour
- 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 6 oz cream cheese softened
- 2 Cups of Confectioner's sugar
- 1/4 Cup of butter, softened
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1-2 Tablespoons of milk
- In a bowl, beat the eggs, sugar, oil, and pumpkin until completely blended. Add in the flour, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the pumpkin and mix very well. Pour into an ungreased baking pan, and bake at 350 degrees F for 25-30 minutes. Cool completely.
- For the icing, beat the cream cheese, sugar, butter, and vanilla in a small bowl. Add enough milk to make sure the icing is easily spreadable. When the bars are cool, spread the icing over the bars and store in a refrigerator.
Don’t let the summer ending give you the blues. The fall is an amazing time of year, for a fresh start, and great eats/drinks! My baby to be hasn’t stopped kicking in excitement at the delicious tastes of fall, and neither has my toddler! I adore the fall, and drink in the season with our Starbucks® Pumpkin Spice Caffè Lattes and fall eats!
