An #AskAwayFriday post with Mrs. Tee from Love Life Laughter

When I first created my blog about two weeks ago, my sister Tamara from introduced me to her wonderful blogging community, and I was welcomed with VERY open arms!!  As a dedicated reader, I was always excited to read Tamara’s posts for #AskAwayFriday.  It is truly an honor to be a part of it for week two swapping with Mrs. Tee (Tiffany) from !

I love Mrs. Tee!  I’ve been reading my sister’s blog for so many years and I’ve seen Mrs. Tee’s blog before joining the community.  She has a great blogging site, and a wonderful “Vlogging” site too: !  Mrs. Tee is a mother of six she likes to call “Team Haywood” which I can relate to.  We are both members of a “blended” family.  Like Mrs. Tee, I too believe a family is compromised of love no matter what the blood is, and we both consider ourselves blessed and lucky to have large families.   How large you ask?  Team Haywood consists of six children between Tiffany and her hubby with an age range of 3-20!  With that being said, she is one BUSY lady, and very very talented in the blogging world!   How does she do it:)?!

Not only does Tiffany have her own blog, she is an ambassador for the North Carolina Bloggers Network (where she resides)  Lets give her a lot of love, and when you are finished reading my answers to Mrs. Tee’s questions, head on over to her site and read my questions and her answers

NEWAskAwayFriday-Echo-300Time to answer Mrs.Tee’s amazing questions!!!!
1. As a child did you ever imagine the path your life would take as what it is now?
As a child all I knew was that I loved to entertain in every, and any way.  I would have dance “contests” with my friends, put on shows with my siblings, sing, dance, play music, and of course DJ. I don’t think I knew what I wanted to be or what direction my life would take in a conscious sense of the word.  On a subconscious sense, I think I always knew in my heart, and I ALWAYS felt I was destined to entertain in some form.

2.  When did you first realize you had a love for music?
Oh man I don’t know!!! My parents had walls lined with vinyl growing up and music was always there, something I turned to.  To this day it’s the first thing I do when I get home, turn ON the music!  I guess getting into dance tapped into my true passion for feeling music, expressing myself through dance…. and I started dance at three years old!  Music has always been there for me!
148978_519016938132347_993603428_n3. You call yourself a classic rock girl…what makes you that?
I love “classic rock”, music from the 60’s and 70’s mostly, even though now 90’s tunes are considered “classic rock”.  (gulp I’m getting old)!   It’s true what they say, you can grow up and turn into your parents!  My parents raised me on classic rock and 80’s tunes and that’s my passion!  I’m also a “classic rock girl” because I’m “old school”.  I still love the sound of vinyl versus an mp3 any day!

4You say your obsessed with the 80s. Name your favorite 80s song, movie, fashion trend hairstyle and lastly any 80s TV show you would want to be on…
SO HARD!!! Just one???  Not possible!!!! I love 80s tunes !!!! Anything Billy Idol who I got to bring on stage last night : Rebel Yell, Journey, The Cure, The Talking Heads, Joy Division, The Cars, Eddie Money, man I could go on for days…..Movie(s) I love anything “brat pack”, Ghostbusters, Labryinth, Goonies, childhood baby!  There were NO good hairstyles in the 80’s and I guess I would love to be on Full House?  I watched it every Friday night and John Stamos was sort of dreamy, just ask my sister Tamara!
5.  I know you’re a yoga teacher and the mood or tone during the classes can be very important. What would be your dream location to teach a class ?
Hmmmm I am fortunate enough to teach on Lake Hopatcong cruises in the summer, which is on top of a cruise ship on my favorite lake!!!!!!  That is a total dream come true, and I guess the only other thing I’d like to do besides that, is teach on top of a mountain.  I’m a lake/mountain girl at heart versus the ocean….namaste!

6. You have an awesome bucket list and cooking more is one of your check offs. Do you have a dream meal you’d like to accomplish all on your own?
YES!  I want to learn how to make sushi!  My brother in law spoils me when I visit and makes the BEST sushi!!!! My husband and I would love to learn one day to make such yummy fine sushi like my brother in law’s!  His sushi beats any restaurant any day!

7What’s your all time favorite dessert?
Mama Klein’s hershey pie and chocolate peanut butter bars which I too make, but nothing is better then having them made for you!
8.  Look to your left. What’s there and what does it mean to you. Does it have a story? Bonus for a photo!
It’s the very sweet jewelry holder my husband got me for our wedding.  I had a tiny one in our last lake house and it exploded!  The funny story behind this is that it was supposed to be a surprise.  We were on our way to Mexico for our honeymoon, and Mike told the nice lady on the plane what he had gotten me when I got up to use the restroom.  No sooner then about two minutes when I got back, the girl by “accident” told me I can store my new rings on my new jewelry holder! HAHAHAAH She was mortified actually and I didn’t care, I was too happy to be in newlywed/honeymoon bliss to care about the small things.  The jewelry holder ROCKS!  My husband rocks even HARDER!
9. What’s the last movie you watched?
HAHAH “Must love dogs”, it was on the tube and Mike had never seen it.  The last movie we saw in the theater was “The Hobbit” !
10. When you dream do you remember them or wake up totally clueless? 🙂
Sometimes I wish I didn’t remember them.   I have this nightmare that happens every week when Mike leaves for work and I go back to sleep.  I dream about the worst case scenarios ever!!!! I think it’s because he just left, and something in my dream brain thinks he really left.  Either way THEY ARE AWFUL.   I lucid dream once in a blue moon.  I wish I could say I have good dreams, but most of the time they are not so unicorn and rainbow feeling, thank god my reality is great!
dreamThank you Mrs. Tee for the wonderful questions and even more wonderful swap!!!!!

Mrs Tee asked some great questions! I love that you get to teach Yoga on a lake on top of a cruise ship! How awesome is that?! I am also a rock girl. My roots run deep thanks to my mom. Fleetwood Mac, Queen, The Commodores, Bowie… They just don’t make music the way they used to!

You certainly rocked the three L’s with Mrs. Tee, Lindsay in this blog, Lindsay! This was a very revealing blog about things that you love, and like to do, and hope to do. #Bucketlist. Her Ask Away Friday has a similarly colorful feel as she answers your 10 questions. The classic music of the 70’s and the 80’s existence as a special time like no other made me smile. I Loved Full House! I connected with Candace Cameron Bure’s Fan Page several months ago. She has a huge following and keeps her page very active. I hope that soon you will teach your mountain yoga class on top of the world Lindsay, and afterward you and your students can enjoy your brother- in- law’s out of this world sushi!

It really is great getting to know you through the AAFs. And you know what, I can relate to a lot of things. Most especially to 60s, 70s and 80s rock, the artists you named, yes, and the brat-pack movies. I always loved the 60s when I grew up (late 70s, early 80s) and was the odd one out then. But I didn’t care then, I don’t care now. I still have a lot of vinyl, but my turntable is German, so it won’t play the right speed (different voltage). I really should get a new one, but… streaming music is so convenient and – cable-less, duh! 😀
Cassidy can make sushi?! Boy, if he were my sister’s husband, I think I would move in with them.! Actually, David (my hubby) introduced me to it about 10 years ago. Until then I had never eaten it, can you imagine that?! And now… favorite. We actually bought some utensils to try making our own sushi, but wanted to invite over friends to make a ‘cooking’ evening out of it. Somehow that has not happened yet. Sushi is the best!

Oh yeah…the 80’s! LOL! I was in my formative years then. I honestly love almost any kind of music, with the exception of most rap and a bit of country. I grew up with Elvis and Neil Sedaka; fell in love with The Moody Blues and The Who; thought disco was cool; rocked out during the British Invasion, hair bands, and Headbanger”s Ball in the 80’s; danced at the clubs in the 90’s; and can still rock out now in my 40’s! LOL! I even get the joy of sharing music with my 21 year old son. Oh do I remember the pissed off hair from the 80’s, but I was more partial to the mullet! LOL! Music is my go to for everything…when I am mad, sad, happy, and everything in between! Oh chocolate! Yummy! LOL! Have a great weekend, Lindsay!

My husband leaves for work at 6, and when I was first married, I used to have nightmares after he left, too! I finally had to tell him to stop waking me up to say goodbye, because then I would be in this half-awake, half-asleep phase, and I would have horrible dreams! Now the kids just wake me up soon after he leaves, so there’s no chance for bad dreams to happen. 😉

    • February 2, 2015 at 3:19 pm

Wow! Im so happy to hear I’m not the only one to ever experience this thank you so much for sharing !!!!! xo

Eighties hair was pretty awful! But the movies and the music were awesome. Love the pics of you with the headphones – my dad (still) has a very similar pair. I used to put them on and pretend I was in the recording studio like the Brady Bunch kids. I was so cool!

    • February 2, 2015 at 3:19 pm

Awww 🙂 YES! The 80s were just easier…..clean music, love, old school, sigh 😉

    ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!!!!!!
CASSIDY MAKES SUSHI?! That guy really does it all! Geez! I am so jealous! I want to be in your family!!!! lol ….i’m not kidding..honorary member? please?

I adore those photos of you in the headphones as a child. I feel like our childhood is packed with hints of what reality will unfold, depending on what we focus on and what speaks to us. Your parent’s record collection is AMAZING. I imagine it’s a DJ’s dream to have access to that!
